The earthquake and resulting tsunami that devastated northeastern Japan had no effect on Taiwan. We had no unusual earthquake activity here and the tides were normal. I’m safe and sound and in no danger whatsoever.
It’s now almost midnight. It’s pitch black and freezing outside as rescuers and survivors are beginning recovery efforts. Please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers.
So glad to hear from you – I thought of you right away when I heard about the earthquake. What a terrible disaster – so sad! Our thoughts and prayers are with the people in Japan and with their family and friends both far and near. Take care!
I was going to visit Sendai, which is where much of the devastation is centered, in August. I just can’t believe this has happened.
Thanks for thinking about me, Debbie!
I’m sure you are aware that a tsunami hit the U.S. coast as a result of the quake. As far as I know only one man died from the waves. He was on the coast in Oregon. So happy to know you are safe. We will certainly include quake victims in our prayers.
Love always!
The guy died trying to take pictures of the tsunami – what a shame.
Love you, too!
